Time tells us WHEN something happens. Tenses help us talk about actions in different times: yesterday (past), today (present), and tomorrow (future).

- in the morning - I wake up in the morning
- in the afternoon - I eat lunch in the afternoon
- in the evening - I watch TV in the evening
- at night - I sleep at night
- at 7 o'clock - School starts at 7 o'clock
Present Tense - Now
Simple Present Tense
Use present tense to talk about things happening NOW or things that happen REGULARLY.
Structure:
Subject + Verb (base form)
- I play cricket.
- She eats rice. (add -s for he/she/it)
- We study English.
- They work hard.
Present Tense Examples
- I am a student. (to be verb)
- He goes to school every day.
- She likes ice cream.
- We live in Mumbai.
- They speak English well.
- The sun rises in the east.
Past Tense - Before Now
Simple Past Tense
Use past tense to talk about things that ALREADY HAPPENED.
Structure:
Subject + Verb + ed (or irregular form)
- I played cricket yesterday.
- She ate rice. (irregular)
- We studied last night.
- They worked hard.

Future Tense - Not Yet
Simple Future Tense
Use future tense to talk about things that WILL HAPPEN LATER.
Structure:
Subject + will + Verb (base form)
- I will play cricket tomorrow.
- She will eat rice later.
- We will study tonight.
- They will work next week.
Future Tense Time Words
- tomorrow - I will go to school tomorrow
- next week - We will play cricket next week
- next month - She will visit Delhi next month
- next year - They will travel next year
- soon - I will see you soon
- later - I will call you later
