- Receptionist: What's the problem?

- Patient: Yes, that works. Thank you.
Doctor Visit Dialogue
Doctor: Hello! What brings you here today?
Patient: I haven't been feeling well. I have a fever and a bad cough.
Doctor: How long have you had these symptoms?
Patient: About three days.
Doctor: Let me check your temperature. (Checks) You have a high fever. Open your mouth, please. Say "ah."
Patient: Ahhh.
Doctor: Your throat looks red. You have a throat infection. I'll prescribe some medicine.
Patient: Thank you, doctor. Should I rest?
Doctor: Yes, get plenty of rest and drink lots of water. Take the medicine three times a day after meals.
Patient: Okay. When should I come back?
Doctor: Come back in a week if you don't feel better. Take care!
